THE Peace Doors Project was launched in 1993 as an international initiative in arts and peace education. It has three major objectives:

1. The design and construction of a public art monument/space in nine regions (Australia, the South Pacific, Ireland, China, the U.S./Indian land, South Africa, Brazil, Russia, and the Middle East)

2. The development of a peace trust fund/bursary to which individuals working toward peace may apply for funds

3. The development of a computer game entitled SIMPeace to be implemented in cooperation with existing peace education programs

Update 2001

Since 1993, the project has been promoted in South Africa, Australia and Brazil. In 1993 we introduced the project at informational and press meetings in Durban, Cape Town and Johannesburg (see VHS Tape-Durban/Natal Peace Doors Project meeting) with great success. We are now launching a vigorous capital campaign.
