summer.01: Saturday, August 18th, 2001 | New York City, USA • Blackout Arts Collective [Empowering Communities of Color Through the Arts, Education, and Activism] held a benefit in NYC. Robin Chandler was one of the honorees at this special event. See Blackout's website for more information.

spring.01: Chandler is conducting research on information technology access, production, and use patterns among African Americans, and popular art and cultural innovations and applications using IT. Her Hip Hop Tutorial Project (TM) was developed as a K-12 literacy initiative, teacher’s guide and online course. It is co-sponsored by the IAAeC (Institute for African American e-Culture).

spring.01: Chandler has been appointed Chairman of the Department of African-American Studies at Northeastern University.
